What we collect
You can browse baratobot without an account; we don't ask who you are. If you sign in, we keep:
- Your email address, to send your sign-in links and the price alerts you ask for.
- The products you watch, and a log of the alert emails we sent you (which product, which price, when), so we don't email you twice about the same drop.
- When your account was created and when you last signed in.
Sign-in links and sessions are stored only as one-way hashes, so even we can't read them back. We have no passwords to lose.
Cookies
We set one cookie, bb_session, only when you sign in. It keeps you signed in for up to 30 days and is removed when you sign out. There are no advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up the site, may set a short-lived security cookie to tell people from bots.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent or share your email or your watchlist.
- We don't run ads or third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
- We don't send marketing email. You only get sign-in links and the alerts you turned on.
Who helps us run the site
- Resend delivers our emails, so it processes your email address and the content of the emails we send you.
- Cloudflare sits in front of the site for security and speed, and sees standard request information (like your IP address) as your browser loads pages.
- Our servers are hosted in the European Union. Like most websites, they keep short-lived request logs (IP address, browser, page requested) for security and troubleshooting, rotated out after a few weeks.
Emails and unsubscribing
Every alert email has a link to stop alerts for that product and a link to stop all alert emails, and neither needs you to sign in. You can also turn alerts off or remove watched products on your account page.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (and similar laws elsewhere), you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email [email protected] from the address on your account and we'll do it within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your email, your watchlist and your alert history.
Children
baratobot is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect.
